TerpTrace is a patient-built database of Louisiana medical cannabis. Every batch of flower sold in a Louisiana marijuana pharmacy has its own lot number, certificate of analysis (COA), terpene profile, and lab-verified cannabinoid percentages. We collect that information, normalize it, and surface it as searchable strain pages so patients can compare what they are actually buying instead of guessing from a jar label.
Two jars of the same strain from the same brand can have wildly different lab results: THC within a single strain line routinely varies by 6–10 percentage points between harvests, and terpene profiles shift with cure, phenotype, and storage conditions. For medical patients trying to replicate a therapeutic effect, that variability is the difference between relief and wasted money. TerpTrace tracks each lot so patients can find the specific batch that worked for them, share it, and make an informed choice at the pharmacy counter.
Patients scan the QR code or label on a jar they just bought. We OCR the label, pull the COA if one is linked, normalize it into a standard schema, and UPSERT the batch onto the correct strain page. Patient reviews are tied to a specific batch, so ratings never blend across lots. Moderators classify strains (indica, hybrid, sativa, or their blends) and curate brand, dispensary, and grower pages with logos and descriptions.
